These Terms and Conditions govern the provision of services by Margem Ímpar – Lda, the entity responsible for the brand Sardinha do Tejo, relating to tourist cruises, private events, corporate events, and other services carried out on board its vessels.
By making a reservation, the client declares that they have read, understood, and fully accept these Terms and Conditions.

1. Booking Conditions

1. A booking requires the payment of a deposit corresponding to 50% of the total event value.

2. A pre-booking is made in writing and is valid for 48 hours, during which time the vessel is blocked and no other bookings are accepted for the same time slot without prior notice.

3. A booking is only considered confirmed after payment of the deposit.

4. Payment of the remaining balance must be made up to 8 working days before the event date.

5. Bookings made with less than 7 days’ notice may be subject to an urgency fee of 10% of the total event value.

6. The final programme (number of passengers, menus, extras, schedules, among others) must be finalised up to 8 working days before the event date.

7. Any cancellation or change in the number of participants after this deadline does not entitle the client to a refund of the corresponding amount.

8. All bookings are subject to vessel availability.

2. VAT Conditions
The amounts presented are subject to the following VAT rates, in accordance with the law:

• Vessel hire and additional passengers: 6% VAT

• Catering menus: 13% VAT

• Bar, extras, and additional fees: 23% VAT

• Packages: upon consultation with the Sales Department

3. Catering Conditions

1. Requests made up to 3 working days before the event date: standard price.

2. Requests made between 3 and 2 working days before the event date: an urgency fee of 50% of the total menu value per person will be applied.

3. Requests made with less than 2 working days’ notice may not be accepted for logistical reasons.

4. For groups of fewer than 50 people, an additional charge of €1 + VAT per person will apply.

5. The selected menu must be the same for the entire group, except for desserts, where a mix of two options may be allowed (valid only for groups of more than 50 people).

6. Any additional dish outside the selected menu is subject to an additional fee of 30%, applied to the menu price per person.

4. Cancellation Conditions (Private and Corporate Events)

1. Cancellations made more than 45 working days in advance: refund of 70% of the total amount.

2. Cancellations made between 15 and 45 working days before the event date: refund of 50% of the total amount.

3. Cancellations made with less than 15 working days’ notice: no refund will be issued.

4. In the event of safety concerns or technical issues with the vessel, the event may be rescheduled or refunded, with no right to any additional compensation.

5. Whenever possible, date changes will be allowed.

6. In the event of cancellation after a rescheduling, no refund will be issued.

5. Cancellation Conditions — Daily Tours (B2C)
For regular daily tours (e.g. sunset cruises, day tours), specific conditions apply:

• The client may cancel free of charge up to 24 hours before the scheduled tour time, with full refund.

• Cancellations made less than 24 hours in advance are not eligible for a refund.

6. Sunset Fee
During the sunset period, Sardinha do Tejo usually operates regular tours.

1. In the case of a private hire during this time slot, regular operations are suspended.

2. For this reason, the rate applied to the sunset time slot is higher, reflecting the exclusivity of the service.

3. The sunset fee is determined according to the schedules of the regular tours.

4. To confirm whether this condition applies to your event, the client should contact the Sales Department.

7. Weather Insurance

1. If weather conditions are unfavourable (e.g. rain), the event may be:

   • Postponed to a new date, or

   • Cancelled with a full refund, subject to the conditions below.

2. To benefit from a 100% refund, cancellation must be made at least 24 hours in advance and exclusively for weather-related reasons.

3. The weather insurance has the following cost:

   • Events without catering: €150 + VAT

   • Events with catering: €250 + VAT

8. Final Provisions

1. Margem Ímpar – Lda reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions whenever necessary.

2. Situations not covered herein will be analysed on a case-by-case basis by the Sales Department.
